In September 2010, I created an English-language blog covering the ins and outs of the Brazilian elections, to be held on October 3, and discussing some of the major issues facing Brazilians as they head to the polls.

I currently work as a freelance producer for Al Jazeera English in São Paulo, Brazil.
As an Associate Producer on Worldfocus, I produced and edited videos and graphics for the nightly half-hour broadcast. I also produced a radio show for Worldfocus.org on Iceland's financial collapse and edited original signature pieces for the program.
Communities around the country are grappling with the effects of illegal immigration, from Solana Beach, California to the Texas Border Volunteers in Brooks County, Texas. I traveled to Texas and Southern California with News21 in June 2008 to report.
A new kind of non-voter became involved in politics during the 2008 election campaign: one who could not vote but was nonetheless active in political campaigns. Both young people and non-citizens were volunteering with presidential campaigns during the last election cycle.

I produced and edited an issue of an online magazine, NYC24.com, covering New York City news.

I produced multimedia content for WNBC.com as a WNBC Next intern between November 2007 and May 2008.

My blog, Junction Blvd, documented current events in Queens, N.Y. from 2007 to 2008.
